i don't know if i made the deadline, since i sure as heck am not sure what time is the central time, nor am i sure what time is it here in my own country, lol, but i really love the character of Prince Luke drawn by the artist whom i admire and like a lot, so it's ok^-^~
Prince Luke is an insane former prince who is now being held in exile. in this drawing, he's holding the silver circlet that he wore as a young prince, knowing he can never wear it again. i added in some scars and tears to the clothing, to show the signs of his struggles to overcome the illusions that bound him. the words 'Not All Kings Wear Gold' were taken from the artist's comment on her illustration. i think the poor prince's had enough pain and suffering, so that's why i typed 'not all that glitters is gold'. the butterfly...you can either view it as another illusion or a symbolism of freedom. 'tis up to you

I really love those curving clouds and the pose and body language is great, it's so expressive. The shading on the fabric is an interesting style, kind of like almost cell shading in some parts.
